Dennis Lynn does not want to hear about your process. He does not care about your point differential, your roster construction, or your waiver wire strategy. He went 12-2, won the regular season title outright, and then won the championship over his own brother Bernard 132.5-108.94. Clean sweep, family edition. Somewhere a Thanksgiving dinner got considerably more awkward.
Ryan Wingerson, who apparently signed a lifetime contract with the regular season, led the league with 1,994 points and finished 3rd. Third. Nearly two thousand points, a second-place regular season finish, and a 3rd place consolation prize won by 0.64 points over Matthew Beyer. The universe has a very specific sense of humor when it comes to Ryan Wingerson and trophies.
Bernard Lynn had the season's biggest blowout in his back pocket, a 171.6-60.9 demolition of Derek Hilmer in Week 12, and still couldn't close out the championship against his brother. He put up 1,769 points, the second most in the league, finished runner-up, and left the family reunion with a story but no ring.
Derek Hilmer, fresh off his 2010 championship, found a very different gear in 2014, going 3-11 and finishing dead last. Twelve teams and Derek found the basement. Bernard's Week 12 beatdown was just the punctuation on a season Derek would very much like to pretend didn't happen.
Grant Andersen had the season's lowest score, a 58.08 in Week 13 against Ryan Wingerson, who responded with a 150.9. Grant finished 9th. He would not return for many more seasons, and you can't entirely blame him.
