Jarod Hilmer went 10-3, won the regular season title, scored the second most points in the league, and finished 5th. The Hilmer brothers apparently split the family's playoff DNA unevenly. Ryan Wingerson led the league in scoring with 1,756 points and finished 4th. The regular season remains a participation trophy with better graphics.
Dennis Lynn put up 211.12 in Week 7, the highest single-week score of the season, dropping a 56-point beatdown on Derek Hilmer in a game that somehow didn't matter come January. He finished 3rd. The season high score, in a regular season win that meant nothing in the end. This league does not care about your feelings.
And last place goes to Paul Loveland, the defending champion, who went 1-12 and now gets to plan the awards banquet he earned a trophy at just twelve months ago. One win. Twelve losses. He went from hoisting the winner's trophy to organizing the event where someone else gets to hoist it. Paul Loveland's arc in this league continues to be one of the most complete emotional experiences available in fantasy football.
